In this blog, we have tried to answer ‘WHAT’, ‘WHEN’, and ‘HOW’ to study for CA exams.
What to study for CA exams
‘What’ to study totally depends on the level you are currently preparing for. However, one thing which remains common in all the levels is the practice of RTPs, MTPs, and past year papers. CA examination is like a sea that has to be explored by diving deep into it. It is impossible to crack the exam by studying the topics selectively. It is mandatory to study and revise every single topic of the entire syllabus. This would not just help in clearing the exam but serve as a backup knowledge bank throughout one’s career.
One should also study the notes prepared during the exam preparation. Making notes, and having pointers for each chapter helps a student immensely since it is practically impossible to go through the entire portion one day before the exams.
When to study for CA exams
Students who opt for CA can give the Foundation exam after completing their 12th standard. After clearing the Foundation exam, students can appear for the Intermediate exam after eight months of preparation. If a student has decided to appear for both the groups together, it is advisable to devote sufficient time for the best preparation.
It is generally recommended to start preparing for CA Finals one year before exams. One should always start with practical subjects like Financial Reporting, SFM, and Costing. If you are confused about the exam preparation, then read: Common Queries of CA Aspirants- Answered
